Mr. Cassidy joined Bow Valley Energy in August 2008, following more than 20 years of senior financial executive experience with multinational companies including UTS Energy, Household International, Emtech and Procter and Gamble. From 2005 to 2007, he was CEO of Signet Energy proving up a bitumen reserve recoverable through steam stimulation techniques. During 1996 through 2005, Leigh was VP, CFO for UTS Energy where he structured, defined and financed the UTS's interest in the Fort Hills Oil Sands Mining project and developed other international business opportunities in petroleum, coal based composite fuels and gold exploration. He was the CFO of Emtech Ltd. from 1993 through 1995 and Household Financial from 1989 to 1992 and in 1992 to 1993 the private sector consortium which privatized and financed the Ontario land registry system creating Teranet Inc. Mr. Cassidy is a Chartered Accountant, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and graduated in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the Wilfrid Laurier University in 1979.
